Future of Vaccines & Immunotherapy: Michelson Prize Winners Share Discoveries
On April 29, 2025, the Michelson Medical Research Foundation partnered with Keystone Symposia to present a live ePanel event spotlighting the 2024 recipients of the Michelson Prizes: Next Generation Grants.
These prestigious $150,000 grants support early-career scientists advancing bold, high-impact research in human immunology, vaccine discovery, and immunotherapy. This year’s prize recipients—Drs. Caleb Lareau, Yzhong Liu, and Omar Abudayyeh—shared their groundbreaking work, pushing the boundaries of science with innovative approaches to cancer vaccines, immune profiling, and gene-editing technologies.
The event featured a live Q&A and opening remarks by Alya Michelson, co-chair of the Michelson Medical Research Foundation, and Dr. Wayne Koff, founding partner of the Michelson Prizes.
Launched in 2018, the 2024 Michelson Prizes was a partnership between the Michelson Medical Research Foundation and the Human Immunome Project and were created to fuel the next generation of scientific leaders and breakthrough discoveries.
